Site Civil Senior Project Manager

Compensation: $110,000-130,000
Responsibilities
- Participate in client relations management for assigned key clients.
- Work with technical staff to develop proposal sections, technical approaches, and scopes of work.
- Meet with new/existing clients to discover project information.
- Participate in proposal presentations, interviews, and business development activities.
- Provide senior level quality control review for any plan designs, or specifications prepared by the site civil personnel of Shrewsberry.
- Deliver quality projects on-time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the client.
- Mentor and assist staff in developing final design plans.
- Coordinate work efforts and review work performed.
- Foster a positive collaborative environment between divisions and offices; promote Shrewsberry culture.
- Serve as senior project manager and/or project expert on specific tasks or projects.
- Assist in the planning, designing, monitoring and/or managing of projects and programs for substantial new construction, renovation and improvement projects.
- Provide technical direction and development on the scope of work, detailed schedule input, man-hour requirements, and budgets for assigned project elements.
- Mitigate project risk.
- Assigns tasks/projects to staff and coordinates a team effort to support the project.
- Manage Scope, identify and document changes in scope, and seek amendments for changes.
- Participate in construction support activities including responses to requests for information (RFIs), submittal reviews, construction site visits, and design revisions.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and vendor bid evaluations.
- Routinely manages several projects concurrently.
- Develop reports, specifications, cost estimates, and prepare final bid packages.
- Lead/participate in project decisions regarding technical approaches, cost and scheduling performance.
- Identify schedule and cost variances and develop and implement recommendations for corrective action.
Qualifications
- BS in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- 10+ years of site civil experience.
- Extensive experience providing successful project management and consulting services.
- Professional Engineer license in Colorado; additional states may be required.
- If an employee plans to use their own vehicle in the scope of their employment with Shrewsberry, they will be required to provide proof of insurance and a driver’s license.
Stormwater Lead Engineer
Denver, CO
Compensation: $129,000-147,000
Responsibilities
- Work with leadership within the Stormwater Group to help manage staff efforts, provide mentorship and guidance to staff, identify business opportunities
- Work in a highly flexible, team-oriented environment and contribute to the growth of the Stormwater group.
- Responsible for planning and design of a wide range of stormwater systems and facilities including hydraulic analysis for stream crossings, transportation drainage and water quality facility design.
- As a stormwater lead and engineer of record, collaborate with a team of support professionals, including but not limited to drafters, designers, EIT’s, and other PE’s.
- Responsible for project delivery on stormwater and related design projects.
- Responsibilities will also include active management of Task specific scope, schedule and budget. Project management experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal stormwater management designs standards.
- Interface with clients and public agencies on an as-needed basis.
Qualifications
Required:
- BS in Civil Engineering or Water Resources Engineering.
- Registered Engineer in Colorado.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- 12+ years of experience as a hydrology and hydraulic design engineer.
- Experience with some or all of the following: Open Roads Designer SUDA, Civ3D SSA, CivilStorm, SRH-2D, HEC-RAS, HEC-RAS 2D, HY-8.
Preferred Education and/or Experience:
- MS in Civil Engineering or Water Resources Engineering.
- Experience working with Departments of Transportation, local municipalities, and local, state and federal regulatory agencies.
- Experience working with Stormwater specific agencies.
- Previous business development and/or marketing roles.
- Familiarity with GIS.
- Stormwater master planning.
- Proficiency in some or all of the following: ORD SUDA, Civ3D SSA, CivilStorm, SRH2D, HEC-RAS, HEC-RAS2D, HY-8.
