Diverse Talent, an executive search and placement firm, was retained by Colorado Inclusive Economy in search for their Chief Executive Officer. After an in-depth process, Ms. Luella D’Angelo was selected to join the executive team to lead this growing organization.
About Ms. Chavez D’Angelo:
Ms. Chavez D'Angelo brings to CIE deep experience in strategic leadership and planning, earned
through many years of directing global multifunctional teams in marketing, communications,
government relations, finance, human relations, business operations, and corporate social
responsibility. She joins CIE from Lee Hecht Harrison, where she served as a lead partner in business development and where she will continue to serve as senior advisor with the International Center for Executive Options (ICEO), which provides career transition services for senior leaders.
Past C-Suite roles include serving as the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer for the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee; overseeing a new university campus as Vice Chancellor of the University of Colorado South Denver; and spearheading communications strategy as Chief Global Communications Officer of Western Union. Previously, she held key management positions at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center.
Ms. Chavez D’Angelo has been widely recognized for her work and was named a Top 10 Leader by Executive Hispanic Magazine: An Outstanding Women in Business award winner by the Denver Business Journal and a 2017 recipient of the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce’s Del Hock Award for Community Service. She is a current board member of the Denver Scholarship
Foundation and the Delta Dental of Colorado Foundation.
